Thank you in advance for your assistance. If anyone knows of something that will do what I need it to, the help would be appreciated. the mount command, Furious ISO Mount, GMount, etc, but so far I have not been able to find one that will bypass the copy protection. Neither does it function in the Linux Windows emulator, Wine. I understand there are ways to mount images. Daemon Tools is specific to the Windows operating system. My question is is there an equivalent for Daemon Tools Lite in Linux? It would be nice to not have to use my original disks. The details of package 'daemontools' in Kali Linux. Recently I have been running many of the games I played in Windows under Wine in Linux. Kali Linux - Here is a brief guide to show you how to install or uninstall daemontools package on Kali Linux Guides to install and remove daemontools on Kali Linux. When I used to use Windows I used a program called Daemon Tools Lite to mount disc images and emulate the copy protection so that I could run video games without having the original disk (don't have to juggle CD's and protects the originals so they stay in good quality).

Unfortunately, this method goes against what most systems are set up to do by default, which is to use init scripts. This method is very simple: Cut and paste the instructions the README gives to start the daemon, and that’s your initialization.

I have tried Googling for the answer to this issue, but I have not found anything that helps me. One option is to place the commands used to start up a daemon into /etc/rc.d/rc.local file. Although I am fairly technically savy, I am almost clueless when it comes to linux.
